The Right Family, the Right Dog --
A GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG
The best thing you can do for
your German Shepherd Dog, yourself, your family and friends is to learn about the breed-- physical characteristics, the
temperament & behaviors, the proper training methods and the realistic expectations of this amazing breed. Be informed--attend
a dog show, talk with exhibitors, breeders & trainers and join a GSD breed club, like our Treasure Coast GSDC.
Be sure to investigate the wealth of information available on the German Shepherd Dog Club of America web site at
www.gsdca.org. Learn about the GSD Breed Standard; what to look for in a responsible breeder; helpful
hints and cautions. The American Kennel Club web site, located at www.akc.org, is also a valuable resource.
BREED RESCUE - Are you a "Forever Home" ?
At
times, we learn of young dogs and mature dogs that need to be placed in a permanent, loving home with gentle, responsible
owners. If you are interested in the adoption of a German Shepherd Dog, please send an email at Contact
Us.
BREEDER REFERRAL - Resonsible Ownership
The TCGSDC will try to assist new owners in the placement of a young GSD into a proper home. On occassion,
we can make a breeder referral, when a litter is available. Contact Us with the details of your inquiry.
